Former Arizona center Deandre Ayton is hoping to be the first overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft on June 21, especially after the Phoenix Suns won the No. 1 selection in Tuesday’s lottery.

Had a very brief conversation with Deandre Ayton following the lottery. His agent was rushing him out of the room but he told me he’d love to be drafted by the Suns and play alongside Booker
Ayton is originally from the Bahamas but played high school ball in San Diego and Phoenix, remaining in Arizona for his brief college career.
